The thing everyone says when the calendar goes quiet is that you need more leads

In brief
The thing everyone says when the calendar goes quiet is that you need more leads. Tighter targeting. A new hook. Another paid test. Except most of the founders i sit with are not short on leads. They're short on something quieter - and here's the pattern i keep seeing across almost all of them: → reply time is where the money actually leaks.

They're short on something quieter - and here's the pattern i keep seeing across almost all of them:
→ reply time is where the money actually leaks. Not the offer, not the price - the gap between someone raising their hand and someone hearing back
→ the first follow up gets read. The fourth is where the yes tends to live - and almost nobody gets there
→ the CRM has 40 warm contacts in it that nobody has touched since summer. Founders remember the hot ones and quietly forget the rest
→ the ad spend isn't wasted. The attention is. Somebody pays for the click, the lead comes in interested, and by the time anyone replies the moment has already cooled
→ and the worst part is you feel it. You just can't see it, because it doesn't show up as a line item
i sat with this for a while before it clicked. The calendar isn't light because leads are missing. It's light because the ones who showed up never heard back in time.
Which is a colder thing than never having had them at all.
The fix isn't more top of funnel. It's an agent that answers in seconds, follows up past the point a person gets bored, and keeps touching the quiet ones until they either say yes or say no.
Not magic. Just the follow through a founder doesn't have hours for and shouldn't have to.
If your week is quiet and your lead count says it shouldn't be - that's the whole answer right there 🙂
